UPDATE: Police has confirmed one man has died following this morning's single vehicle collision on Medway Road. The second person, a female passenger, is still in hospital with serious injuries.
MIDDLESEX COUNTY - Middlesex County OPP responded to a serious single vehicle collision earlier this morning.
The collision happened 7:43 am on the 14000 block of Medway Road in Middlesex County and police were assisted by Middlesex-London EMS and Middlesex Centre Fire Department.
Police say an e/b motor vehicle left the road, entered the ditch and struck a hydro pole. Two people were transported from the scene to a local area hospital with life threatening injuries.
Members of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) team have been sent to the area to assist in the investigation.
Medway Road has been closed to the public between Richmond St. and Wonderland Rd. as crews work to clear the scene and replace a damaged hydro pole.
Police are asking the public to avoid the area and expect delays. The road is expected to be closed until around 5:00 p.m.
