The U14 Oxford Attack Girls team will have two tournaments left for the season.
OXFORD COUNTY - It has been a good season for the U14 Girls Oxford Attack.
The team played in a qualifier in April for the Legacy Nationals, and Head Coach, Colin Halward says the girls had a huge showing at the tournament.
"The U14 Girls Team were able to punch their ticket, and they will now play in the National Championship with a shot to win the National Championship for all of America for the U14 Girls division."
Halward says they will have a tough road ahead of them at the National Tournament, as they will be playing the best teams from the United States. The Legacy Tournament will take place from Friday, July 19th to the 21st in Brighton, Michigan.
Before the girls start to prepare for the Nationals, they have a tournament closer to home that starts this weekend. The 2024 Division 3 U14 Girls Ontario Cup is taking place in Thorold. Halward knows the team can make some noise at the tournament.
"They are ready and are poised to make a really, really good run at a gold medal and a provincial championship and bring for the hometown Oxford Attack."
The first game of the provincials for the girls is Friday (April 26th) at 6:30 p.m. as they will take on the GCBA Wolverines. You can follow the tournament and get updates by going to the official tournament website.
