Upcoming Charity BBQ Will Support Cancer Patients

Enjoy lunch and help a cause with McFarland Rowlands' BBQ

INGERSOLL - McFarlan Rowlands Insurance Brokers are getting ready for another Charity BBQ this month. 

On June 15th you can have lunch for a good cause at McFarlan Rowlands Insurance Brokers Ingersoll Location from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. 

Communications Coordinator, Alyssa Therkildsen talks about what they are fundraising for. 

"We're selling hot dogs and sausages. All of our proceeds will go to the local organization project Feel Be-You-Tiful where ladies partner with the Woodstock General Hospital and they support women in the community who are currently undergoing cancer treatment."

The organization gives a combination of feel good items to help individuals feel beautiful. Some feel good items include scarfs, hygiene products and more. There will also be a silent auction at the event. 

Therkildsen adds that this is their first time fundraising for this specific organization but previous ones have been a hit. 

"They had their first fundraiser in February at the Upper Thames Brewery in Woodstock and they raised $9000 at that event."
