Mayor Birtch touches on the cancellation of the Victoria Day celebrations, asking residents to call the non emergency line to report people not practicing social distancing, why the City hasn't declared a State of Emergency and the importance of staying positive.
WOODSTOCK - The Mayor of Woodstock Trevor Birtch joined Heart FM this afternoon for an update from the City.
In the interview Mayor Birtch touches on the following topics:
- Explaining why the City made the decision now to cancel the Victia Day celebrations.
- Encouraging residents to practice social distancing, only go out for essential items.
- Asking residents to not call 9-1-1 if you see people breaking social distancing protocols, instead call the non emergency line for Woodstock Police at 519-537-2323.
- Why the City has not declared a State of Emergency at this time.
- The importance of staying positive and some of the amazing things happening in the Friendly City, from people delivering groceries to drive thru church services.
