Police arrested the 25-year-old and the 21-year-old in Tillsonburg on Friday.
NORFOLK/OXFORD - A drug trafficking investigation in Norfolk led to an arrest in Oxford.
OPP officers took a 25-year-old and a 21-year-old into custody on Baldwin Street in Tillsonburg on Friday. Both of them now face a long list of drug related charges and one of them was also charged in connection to a firearms related incident in Simcoe on January 10th.
The 25-year-old faces three counts of forcible confinement, two counts of robbery using a firearm, two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, two counts of possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order, two counts of failure to comply with a probation order, two counts of disobeying a court order, one count of failure to comply with a release order, one count of pointing a firearm, one count of possession of an opioid (other than heroin) for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, one count of operation while prohibited under the criminal code, and one count of possession of the proceeds or property obtained by crime under $5,000.
The 21-year-old was charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, possession of an opioid (other than heroin) for the purpose of trafficking, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, failure to comply with a probation order, and possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000.
Police say the 25-year-old is from Brantford and the 21-year-old does not have a fixed address. They both remain in custody ahead of their bail hearing in Simcoe tomorrow.
