Four Woodstock Hydro have teamed up with crews from Iowa and Minnesota to help out with power restoration in Long Island. The crews left on Saturday, and arrived in Long Island at midnight Monday. They're set to work 16-hour shifts restoring power to residential neighbourhoods that have been without electricity for a week now, following the destruction left by Hurricane Sandy. After their 6AM - 10PM shifts each day, they'll then get a mandatory 8-hours of rest, and will be bunking at a local airport in Mt. Sanai, NY for now. Word is the crews are happy with the professionalism and organization of their project.
