The Van Ave bridge rehabilitation project starts today and it should last until December.
WOODSTOCK - Traffic will be held up in the area of the Vansittart Ave bridge in Woodstock.
Today is the day when crews are starting the rehabilitation project, which is set to last until December.
During the construction, there will be two detours including, Oxford Road 17 west to Oxford Road 30, and Oxford Road 17 east to Oxford Road 4.
There will be access for pedestrians through a sidewalk on one side of the northbound lane, and that lane could switch sides based on the work taking place. For residents wanting to use Roth Park Trail, the entrance on Tecumseh Street will be closed during the construction, while the pedestrian pathway will remain open.
Drivers in the area should expect delays, obey all signs, and keep a safe distance away from the machines to ensure everyone's safety.
