Perth OPP are warning the public to take precautions after four vehicles were stolen over the weekend.
At least 4 vehicles were stolen in Perth County over the weekend.
The first theft happened on Saturday after a Ford Pickup was stolen from a home on Line 29 in Perth East. The vehicle was eventually located, later that same day, near Highway 8 and Road 101.
A black Chevy Silverado was stolen from a home on Sunday on Line 80 in Perth East and a green Ford F 350 that had been stolen from the Waterloo Region was left in it's place.
Also on Sunday a Chevy Cruz was taken from the area of Rogers Avenue in the Town of St Mary's. The car was eventually recovered and found badly damaged in Oxford County.
Finally a black Jeep Grand Cherokee was stolen from a home on Albert Avenue North in Listowel on Monday.
Perth OPP have issued a few tips to make sure you don't become a target in the rash of vehicle thefts:
- Lock vehicle doors and pocket the keys when you park your car
- Never leave your vehicle unattended while it is running
- Never leave valuable objects or packages in full view inside the vehicle
