A tough loss for the Woodstock Navy Vets, as the Tavistock Braves took the series opener game 3-2.
WOODSTOCK - The Navy Vets took a loss in the Semi Final series opener against The Tavistock Braves in yesterday's matinee game.
The Vets were out in front early in the game, leading 2-0 after the first period, with goals from Austin Sine. Tavistock didn't let up though, and faught back to tie things up in the third.
The Braves held off The Vets with just over five minutes left in the third, and put the final goal in net, beating the Vets 3-2.
Game 2 is set for tonight in Tavistock at 7:45p.m.

Game 3 - Friday February 23rd @ 7:30pm - Tavistock (Tavistock & District Recreation Centre)
Game 4 - Saturday February 24th @ 7:45pm - Woodstock (Southwood Arena)
Game 5 - Wednesday February 28th @ 7:30pm - Tavistock (Tavistock & District Recreation Centre)
Game 6 - Friday March 2nd @ 7:45pm - Woodstock (Southwood Arena)
Game 7 - Saturday March 3rd @ 7:30pm - Tavistock (Tavistock & District Recreation Centre)
The winner of the best of seven series will move on to the division finals. The Vets beat the Norwich Merchants and the Braves conquered the New Hamburg Firebirds in order to make it this far.
