The Woodstock Agricultural Society is in desperate need of volunteers for this year's Woodstock Fair.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Agricultural Society is searching for friendly volunteers to donate their time at the Woodstock Fair.
This year's fun is set to run from Thursday August 24th to Sunday August 27th, and the committee says there is still a ton of work to get done before opening night. They are hoping to find an excited group of individuals that will be able to get the fair up on its feet.
Already this year, the Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies has had to cancel community fairs due to a lack of volunteers, and the Woodstock Committee is worried the Friendly City could be next.
There is a variety of jobs to help out with for the event for volunteers who are at least 15 years old. All volunteers who work more than a four hour shift get a free lunch.
The committee reminds students that these hours can also be used towards the 40 hours of community service needed to receive your Ontario Secondary School Diploma.
If you are interested in volunteering, and want to discuss what jobs are available for the event, call 519-537-8212.
