Tillsonburg and Woodstock will each host their own Walk for Alzheimer's this month.
OXFORD COUNTY - The Alzheimer Society of Oxford County is getting set to host their annual Walk for Alzheimer's events.
The first one is happening on Saturday, January 19th at the Tillsonburg Lions Hall from 10 am to 12:00pm.
Executive Director Shelley Green says you still have time to get ready.
"In fact you don't even have to get signed up. All you need to do is pick up a pledge sheet and our pledge sheets are available at all Shoppers Drug Mart in the county, all Pharamsaves. They're also available at Heart FM and our office at 575 Peel Street here in Woodstock."
In addition to the event in Tillsonburg, the walk in Woodstock will happen at the Oxford Auditorium on the 26th from 2 to 4 pm.
Green adds they're hoping to build off last year's success.
"So last year our Walk for Alzheimer's raised $166,000.00, which is just really an incredible result here in Oxford County. Per capita, we're just doing an amazing job and we're so thankful."
In addition to picking up a pledge sheet, you can also register online at www.walkforalzheimers.ca or call 519-421-2466 or 1-877-594-2368 for pledge sheet or walk information.
