All of the proceeds raised on October 18th will benefit Hearts for Ethiopia and its projects overseas.
OXFORD COUNTY - A Walk in Their Shoes is about to take place in Woodstock.
Hearts for Ethiopia will be hosting the event on October 18th at the Maranatha Christian Reformed Church. Founder, Shelley Green says it shines light the organization.
"You don't have to fundraise. We really want to encourage people just to come. There's no fee to come. You can come and learn about the needs in Ethiopia, how our organization is responding, the difference the money that we're raising in Canada is making in actual lives. So, it's very educational."
Green mentions, your choice to raise funds for two of the projects Hearts for Ethiopia funds in Ethiopia will help change lives. She says what the day will look like.
"So, registration starts at 1 o'clock and at 2 o'clock we'll have our kickoff, and we'll have the educational portion of the event from about 2 o'clock until just shortly after 3 o'clock."
The event will end at 4:00 p.m. and if you are looking for more information about A Walk in Their Shoes, you can visit the Hearts for Ethiopia website online here.
Shelley Green stopped by the Heart FM studio to chat with Dan and Marcie on Friday October 3rd. You can listen to the full interview below:
