Warden Ryan is thankful for the support from the Provincial Government.
OXFORD COUNTY - 4.4 million dollars is on its way to Oxford County thanks to the Provincial Government.
The money assists with improvements on roads, and infrastructure to support the creation of over 4,749 new homes within the county (2,566 of these new builds would be in Woodstock).
An additional $700,000 has been received to build affordable housing which is currently under construction on Southwood Way in Woodstock.
The Oxford Ontario Health team has been chosen as one of 18 locations to build an addiction recovery treatment hub.
Oxford County Warden, Marcus Ryan, had this to say in his statement: "All of this is good news for our residents: it means we are moving in the right direction of our goal of Housing for all.
We are thankful and appreciative of the Government of Ontario’s willingness to listen to and work with municipalities to address housing and infrastructure needs.
These new developments are also in part the outcome of the efforts of many people, including Oxford County and City of Woodstock councillors, staff, and partners.
Thank you to all who played a part and helped show that by working together, we can grow stronger."
