We have 5 to 10 centimetres of snow in the forecast for today, but we have above average temperatures in the forecast for the rest of the week.
OXFORD COUNTY - We're still under that winter weather travel advisory in Oxford County.
Environment Canada says we could get anywhere between 5 to 10 centimetres of snow today, with peak snowfall rates of 1 to 2 centimetres per hour.
Warning Preparedness Meteorologist Trudy Kidd says you should have your snow shovel out and ready.
"It's all going to switch over to rain, so those who do get the higher snowfall amounts are going to want to start shoveling early before it gets too heavy."
She says the snow should taper off this evening, but we could see some freezing drizzle in there.
On the bright side, it's not too cold out there. Kidd says minus 2 is the daytime average for this time of the year, and minus 10 is the average low.
"Fluctuations are normal, but towards the end of the week we're really starting to see some higher than normal temperatures. Thursday for example, we can expect a high of 9. It's probably going to feel like you could wear a t-shirt out there!"
We're also in for a high of plus 4 tomorrow, and Kidd says the more seasonal temperatures should return early next week.
