Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement warning of high high winds today.
OXFORD / BEANT - The region should batten down the hatches today.
We can expect strong southwest winds gusting to 80 km/h, which will slowly start to diminish this afternoon.
These winds are strong enough to cause minor tree damage as well as local power outages.
Drivers should be cautious on the roads as well.
