A slow month for home sales in October, WITAAR saw a decrease of 4.5 per cent this year from 2022, and big drops in the 5 and 10 year averages for the month.
OXFORD COUNTY - It was a decrease in home sales for the Woodstock Ingersoll Tillsonburg and Area Association of Realtors (WITAAR).
Last month saw a total of 126 units sold, which was down 4.5 per cent from October 2022.
Sales were 29 per cent below the five year average, and 30 per cent below the 10 year average for the month of October.
On a year-to-date basis, home sales totaled over 15-hundred units over the first 10 months of the year.
This was down by 5.5 per cent from the same period in 2022.
WITAAR did see an increase for the average price of a home.
In October, the average price was over 6-hundred and fourty-four thousand dollars, which was a slight increase of 2.1 per cent from 2022.
But, the dollar value of all home sales last month was 81.2 million dollars, falling by 2.5 per cent from the same month in last year.
