A woman has suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries after a crash in Zorra Township this morning.
ZORRA TOWNSHIP - A woman has suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries after a crash in Zorra Township.
Oxford OPP were called out to the 31st Line at Road 74 this morning after a Mazda truck slammed into a Jeep heading northbound on 31st line. The impact caused both vehicles to leave the roadway and enter into the northeast ditch. During the collision, a street sign, stop sign and a hydro pole were struck.
The driver of the Jeep, a woman from Ingersoll was rushed to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the truck a 33 year old man from East-Zorra-Tavistock was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The Zorra Fire Department and Oxford EMS responded to the crash along with police and the road was closed for several hours today. It should re-open within the hour. Hydro One is also at the scene for hydro repairs.
The driver of the truck has been charged with fail to yield to through traffic contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
