Woodingford Lodge staff members received multiple awards at the Long Term Care Awards Gala.
Multiple staff members at Woodingford Lodge have been honoured on the provincial level.
Their Best Practice Spotlight Implementation Team received the Quality Improvement Team of the Year Award at the Long Term Care Awards Gala. The Old Tyme Music Band was also honoured by the Circle of Excellence Program and Resident Council President Judy Crane walked away with the Lifetime Achievement Certificate.
Director Corrie Fransen says Crane is very well known in the Woodingford Lodge community.
"She plays a very active role in Woodingford Lodge. She is our resident mail person, she delivers the mail, she sits on a number of committees and certainly represents the residents and staff at Woodingford Lodge very well in our community."
Crane also fundraises for the United Way and the Alzheimer's Society of Oxford in her spare time.
Fransen says all of the awards were well deserved.
"Certainly they have a very positive impact on the lives of the residents, the families and the staff at Woodingford Lodge."
All of the awards were handed out through the Ontario Long Term Care Association. The ceremony took place in Toronto on November 28th.
