It was an opportunity for Woodstock residents to chat with the candidates in the upcoming municipal election.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock residents had time to talk with candidates.
The Woodstock and District Chamber of Commerce hosted an open house style event at South Gate Centre yesterday, which saw the community ask questions ahead of the election on October 26th. Chamber General Manager, Mike Crabbe was excited about the turnout.
"I just think it was so wonderful that all these candidates that were able to join us were so eager and excited to have the opportunity to attend a kind of an open house like this where it's kind of just open access to the community."
Crabbe says he was impressed by the community turnout as well. Crabbe mentions what issues were talked about.
"Supports for our homeless population, those struggling with drug addictions, as well as cost of living and access to local resources and recreation opportunities."
Crabbe adds every time he looked around the room every candidate was engaged in conversation.
