A Woodstock cyclist could face charges after a collision Tuesday evening. According to Woodstock Police, at about 9:30 p.m. a bicycle collided with a car at Cedar Street and Dufferin Street. An 18 year-old male was riding his bike southbound on Cedar Street, in the northbound lanes. He braked to avoid colliding with the car that had edged out around him, flew over his handlebars and the vehicle's hood. Police say he was not wearing a helmet and the rear brakes on the bike were not working. The teen was taken to the Woodstock Hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Charges against him are pending. Police remind all cyclists to wear a helmet, ensure your bike is in proper working order and obey the rules of the road.
