Woodstock will be a part of a joint audit committee for the municipal election this fall.
WOODSTOCK - The Friendly City now has an audit plan for the upcoming election.
City Clerk Amy Humphries says Woodstock will join a joint audit committee for the municipal election.
"So for 2018 what staff have recommended to council and what they've accepted is that we join the joint compliance audit committee for Oxford County."
She says this will be a first for the Friendly City.
"This committee's been an establishment since 2010, however Woodstock has not participated in the past. But given some of the changes to the elections act and the greater need that we see for a compliance audit committee, Woodstock has decided this time to join that joint committee."
Other members of the committee hail from across Oxford County.
