Hours after being arrested, police say the same man went back to the same store to shoplift for a second time that day.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police arrested a 33 year old man for shoplifting on Friday afternoon.
Officers were called to Norwich Ave around 1:40 pm. Police say the man left the store with about $650 in merchandise. The man was arrested by police and released on a promise to appear.
Later that night around 11, police say the same man went back to the same store to shoplift. When police arrested the man for a second time, they found merchandise from several stores in his backpack. The goods were worth an estimated $1,550.
The 33 year old was charged with theft under $5,000 and three counts of possession of property obtained by crime.
