Three drug and weapons-related events, plus an impaired driver was caught by Woodstock Police last week.
WOODSTOCK - There were three separate drug investigations in the Friendly City.
All three took place last Thursday. The first took place just after 10 a.m. in the area of Wilson and Peel Street as a member of the Woodstock Police was going through the intersection. The officer spotted a physical altercation between two people, and an investigation was started. A third person got involved and at that time he was arrested after police found a large amount of Canadian cash, controlled substances, and drug paraphernalia in his possession.
As a result, the 39-year-old Woodstock man has been charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - fentanyl, possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine, possession of a Schedule II substance, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.

The next incident happened at 11 a.m. as officers walked through the homeless encampment on Ingersoll Road. The officers noticed suspicious behaviour from two people. During the investigation, $310 of Canadian cash, substantial amounts of purple and green fentanyl, and two replica handguns were seized.
A 47-year-old man and 25-year-old woman both of Woodstock are facing charges of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - fentanyl, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.

The final drug and weapons incident happened just before 3 p.m. on Reeve Street. Police conducted a traffic stop on a suspended driver, and during the interaction, officers saw an expandable baton in the vehicle, along with large amounts of three different controlled substances and Canadian cash.
A 48-year-old Woodstock man is charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and driving while suspended, while a 50-year-old Norwich man is facing charges of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine, possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - fentanyl, possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.

WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police have taken an impaired driver off the road.
On Saturday, just before 3:15 p.m., officers responded to the LCBO on Dundas to reports of an impaired male driver. The man was tested and proved to have close to three times the legal limit in his system.
The 66-year-old is facing a pair of charges.
