The Woodstock Police and Big Brothers Big Sisters have teamed up for the long running Cops and Kids program.
Littles still on the wait list for a mentor will be spending the whole week with officers to take in some new experiences according to Constable Nikki VanLeeuwen.
"C&D Lanes, they let us go there bowling, all the community people donate their space which is awesome - so we're going to the Meadows to teach the kids how to golf, we're going to the Police College for a tour."
VanLeeuwen says this also helps the kids learn to trust officers in our community.
"A lot of them are a bit apprehensive and shy the first day and then they see police in a different light - we're not in uniform, we're in casual clothes and just having fun with kids. So they remember us for years and years."
