One Woodstock resident is looking for signatures to help with the issue of speeding in their neighbourhood.
WOODSTOCK - Speeding in the Friendly City is an issue that continues to be seen.
One resident in the city is looking to bring the issue in her neighbourhood to the forefront. Heather Wright has organized a petition to help raise awareness.
"I started this petition, this is the third petition over a 24-year period to slow down the traffic on Springbank at Algonquin Road."
Wright says a big reason for the change is the amount of students that are in the area. She mentions that there have been conversations with the Council about this issue.
"I have been in touch with Mayor Jerry Acchione many times, and he has been most excellent."
Wright mentions Liz Wismeer-Van Meer is also a neighbour in the area and is aware of the issue. Wright is hoping to be a delegation at an upcoming Council meeting.
