Woodstock Police say six youth are in custody after a weapons investigation in the area of College Ave.
UPDATE #2
It was around 12:20 this afternoon (Tuesday, December 5th) that Woodstock Police Service received a report of a youth with a suspected firearm in the area of College Avenue Secondary School (CASS).
CASS was put under lockdown, while Oliver Stephens Public School was placed on a hold and secure.
College Ave, Fyfe Ave and East Park Drive were closed during the investigation.
Uniformed Patrol of the WPS, along with members of the Emergency Response arrested 5 youth on sight, while another youth was arrested at a different location.
CASS remained on lockdown as police with the assistance of the London Police Service K-9 Unit searched the school for any weapons. At this time no weapons have been found.
No injuries have been reported at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing.
No charges have been laid so far in the investigation.
The lockdown has been lifted, and students from CASS have been able to return home.
More will be released once it becomes available, and the names of the youth will not be released under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Police responded to the area of College Avenue for a weapons investigation.
Police currently have six youth in custody in relation to this investigation.
It has been reported that no injuries were suffered during this matter.

WOODSTOCK - An active incident is currently being investigated by the Woodstock Police Service.
It is happening in the areas of College Avenue, East Park Drive, and Fyfe Avenue. Police are asking that the public avoid the area at this time.
Area schools have been notified to hold and secure as a precaution at this time.
