
Three separate impaired driving investigations in Woodstock lead to multiple charges being laid last weekend.
WOODSTOCK - Three drivers are facing impaired driving charges in Woodstock.
Woodstock Police pulled over the drivers in separate incidents between late last Friday and early Saturday.
The first incident was Friday just before 10 p.m. when a driver was pulled over near Victoria Street, and the 28-year-old Woodstock man is now facing a pair of charges. Those charges are operation while impaired and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus. He was released on conditions.
Next, was Saturday at 1:15 a.m. when a 33-year-old Ingersoll man was stopped after hitting a parked vehicle close to Reeve Street. He is facing 4 charges including dangerous operation, operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs, operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus, and failure to stop after an accident. He was released on conditions.
Lastly, Saturday at 2:45 a.m. a 30-year-old Kitchener man crashed into a ditch on Oxford Road 17, and will now face 3 charges. The charges are operation while impaired, operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus, and dangerous operation.
The Woodstock Police are reminding motorists that there are great risks and consequences when driving impaired. Officers will continue to be committed to keeping the roads and public safe by taking a zero-tolerance approach toward impaired driving.
