Oxford OPP and Wildlife authorities charge Norwich Township youth for smashing duck eggs
NORWICH -- Oxford OPP have laid charges against a teen who was caught smashing eggs from a duck's nest.
The incident was caught on surveillance camera, June 12th at the entrance of the library on Tidey Street in Norwich.
OPP received a report of the youth destroying the eggs on June 24th. Following an investigation by police and wildlife authorities, a 16 year-old male from Norwich Township was charged with unlawfully destroying a migratory bird’s egg under the Migratory Birds Convention Act.
