Cold Weather Alert Continues
A cold weather alert continues to usher in the New Year.
The alert from Oxford Public Health was issued New Year's Eve, and continues today with a -25 degree windchill factor today.
The temperature is expected to continue to fall throughout the day, and bottom out at -23 tonight with a windchill close to -30.
During a cold weather alert, Public Health officials urge people to limit their exposure to the elements. Frostbite can occur in minutes in conditions this cold. The effects of Hypothermia can also set in if you're out for a prolonged period of time.

Relief is expected by the weekend with a high of -3 on Saturday.
