The driver is set to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on June 2nd.
TILLSONBURG- A Tillsonburg driver tried to evade a R.I.D.E checkpoint but failed.
This happened on April 3, at around 3:00 P.M., when members of the OPP were conducting the checkpoint at Lisgar Avenue and 5th Street in Tillsonburg, where they saw a driver trying to evade the checkpoint. The OPP was able to act quickly and locate the driver.
As a result, a 49-year-old Tillsonburg man was charged with operation while impaired, along with another charge for operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus.
The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on June 2.
