Two men escaped a residential fire in Blandford Blenheim Township with minor injuries.
BLANDFORD BLENHEIM - Blandford Blenheim Fire Department members and Oxford County OPP were called to a residential fire shortly before 5:00 pm Thursday night.
Emergency crews reported to the site of a kitchen fire at a residence located on Township Road 4 near the 401 Highway after receiving a call from the two male occupants. The men discovered the fire and were able to escape from the home with only minor injuries. Both men were transported to hospital by Oxford County EMS, but have since been treated and released.
Drumbo, Princeton, Plattsville and Innerkip fire stations were all also in attendance to assist.
Although the fire remains under investigation, it is thought to be accidental at this time.
