This authorizes a total budget of $62,330,283, which includes a $24,430,283 operating budget and $37,900,000 capital budget. It includes a tax rate increase of 1.98 percent,
The budget includes a $4.2 million in services, including public safety services, police, fire and by-law enforcement. Ingersoll is also planning to put $4.18 million into the reserves to ensure the Town’s financial position remains strong.
This is the first budget proposed since Ontario’s expansion of strong mayor powers effective May 1, 2025, and is the final budget of this term of Council.
The proposed 2026 capital plan includes 60 projects with a total capital budget of $37.9 million.
Another key highlight is the groundbreaking and first phase of construction of the Multi-Use Recreation Centre (MURC).
