INGERSOLL - A boil water advisory has been issued for an area of Ingersoll.

Southwestern Public Health says a watermain break at 419 King Street West may have compromised the water supply.

Officials are advising everyone on King Street West between Ingersoll Street South and Oakwood Street to boil their water for at least a minute before consuming it in any way. This includes not only drinking it, but also using it to brush your teeth, wash food, and make ice, juice or baby formula.

The advisory will be lifted once bacteriological tests prove that the water is safe.
