Annaleise Carr will be in London, Ontario today signing copies of her book
Annaleise Carr is preparing to hit the waters again this summer, this time -- Lake Erie.
"I'm doing it July 25th, it's the date that I have set right now. I am going from Erie Pennsylvania and hopefully finishing in Port Dover which would be about a 75 km swim."
16 year-old Carr of Norfolk County, became the youngest person to swim across Lake Ontario in 2012, raising over $200,000 for Camp Trillium.
Fellow Norfolk resident Deb Ellis, along with Carr, wrote a book about her swim and support to Camp Trillium. The book, 'Annaleise Carr, How I Conquered Lake Ontario To Help Kids Battling Cancer' just recently hit the shelves.
"It takes my story and Eric's from Camp Trillium and it relates our stories and the challenges that we had -- I mean his challenges obviously were a lot harder than mine but it's pretty cool the similarities that did happen during his battle with cancer and my battle with the lake."
Carr will be holding a book signing at the South London Chapters on Saturday April 19 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
Donations towards Carr's fundraising efforts for Camp Trillium can be made on her website http://annaleisecarr.com/.
