The projected net budget for 2026 totals $24,325,090.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Police Service has presented their 2026 budget.
At the latest Woodstock City Council meeting, the Police Service's Board showed a projected net budget of $24,325,090. It would be an increase of 6.62 percent. The increase would represent the minimum amount requested in order to comply with the Community Safety and Policing Act (CSPA) requirement to provide adequate and effective policing.
The Board laid out the realities for 2026, and said the IMPACT Stats would be 1,220 homeless encounters, 1,381 for unwanted persons, 194 persons with addiction encounters, and 254 mental health/attempted suicides. City Council is hoping to make a decision on the 2026 Revenue Budget during their next meeting March 19th.
