Team Canada will battle Czechia for the gold medal at the world junior hockey championship later today after celebrating a 6-2 semifinal win over the United States last night.
HALIFAX - Team Canada will have a shot at winning the gold medal at the world junior hockey championship.
The Canadians demolished the United States in the semifinals last night with a final score of 6-2 at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax.
Joshua Roy finished the game with two goals and two assists. Adam Fantilli, Connor Bedard, Logan Stankoven, and Brandt Clarke scored the other goals for Team Canada.
The Canadians will now battle Czechia for the championship title later today. The Czechs secured their spot in the gold medal game after, celebrating a 2-1 overtime win in the semifinals against Sweden yesterday.
