Woodstock Police charged three impaired drivers in three separate incidents over the past three days.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Police Service is once again reminding everyone about the dangers of drunk driving.
This comes after officers charged three drivers in three separate incidents over the past few days.
The first was on Wednesday, when officers responded to reports of an erratic driver close to Dundas Street and Springbank Ave at 7:40 p.m.. They charged a 36-year-old man from Woodstock as a result, and police say he had more than three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
A 45-year-old from Woodstock was charged at the next day, after police responded to reports of a possibly impaired driver on Devonshire Ave. That call came in at 11:20 p.m..
A 37-year-old from Brantford was charged at 2:30 a.m. today, after officers stopped a vehicle close to Perry Street and Main Street. Police say he also had more than three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
All three drivers face one count of operation while impaired and one count of operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80. The 36-year-old Woodstonian was also charged with dangerous operation.
As we head into the holiday season, Woodstock Police would like to remind everyone to plan a safe ride home if they plan on drinking somewhere. Impaired driving is one of the leading causes of serious injury and death on Ontario roadways.
If you spot someone who you believe is driving while impaired, you can call 911 to report it
