City buses will take people through Woodstock to see all of the beautiful Christmas lights this Sunday.
WOODSTOCK - Tickets are still available for the Tour of Lights in City of Woodstock.
City buses will take people through the city to see all of the Christmas lights this Sunday (December 14th) and next Sunday (December 21st).
Marketing and Communications Manager Colleen Collins says its a holiday tradition in the Friendly City.
"This program started more than 20 years ago, from what we understand, as a way for drivers to kind of give back to the community and provide an opportunity for those who may not have other means to get around and see some of the Christmas lights that are up throughout the community."
She adds it's an accessible holiday event, that also helps people in need.
"Tickets are $3 to ride the bus and the proceeds for that go to the United Way Oxford. Those who participate, if they're able, are also invited to bring a non-perishable food donation that will be collected on behalf of the Salvation Army."
You can purchase tickets online here or by visiting Cowan Park Sportsplex, Reeves Community Complex, Woodstock Museum, and Woodstock Art Gallery.
You can also find more information about the Tour of Lights on the city's website online here.
