You might be able to spot more recycling bins at Canada's Outdoor Farm Show this year.
WOODSTOCK - Canada's Outdoor Farm Show is going green.
They will pilot their Road to Zero Clean Event Strategy this week, in hopes of reducing the amount of waste being sent to local landfills.
Communications Manager Amanda Macfarlane explains what that may look like next week.
"There's going to be a lot more recycling bins around the show sites and water bottle filling stations throughout the show."
Macfarlane says they are very thankful to the Woodstock and Oxford County communities for hosting the show throughout the years.
"We don't want to be causing a negative impact to the communities around us so this is very important to us. We are aiming to achieve a higher standard of environmental stewardship by reducing the waste sent to local landfills."
The show will celebrate its 25 anniversary when everything gets underway in Woodstock on Tuesday September 11th. Everything will wrap up on Thursday September 13th.
