Dr. Theresa Tam says Canadians should practice safe sex and reduce the number of sexual partners in order to prevent spreading monkeypox.
Canada's Chief Medical Officer of Health is urging Candians to practice safe sex in order to reduce the spread of monkey pox.
Dr. Theresa Tam says this especially applies to men who have sex with other men.
She says most of the 745 confirmed cases in the country are in gay and bisexual men.
The National Advisory Committee on Immunization recommends that people with a high exposure to a confirmed or probable case get a smallpox vaccine Imvamune.
