Woodstock City Council approved the purchase of the new snow blower at a cost of just over $92 000.
WOODSTOCK - The City of Woodstock is getting a new snow blower for the upcoming winter season.
Woodstock City Council approved the purchase of the new blower at a cost of just over $92 000.
City Engineer Harold de Haan tells Heart FM they needed a new snow blower to replace one that was over 40 years old. De Haan says the old snow blower kept breaking down on them last winter and it caused delays in cleaning up the downtown core which they are hoping will be corrected with the new machine.
He adds this could eventually lead to savings on the snow removal budgets as they won't have to constantly fix the old blower
