WOODSTOCK -- Police have laid stunt driving charges after receiving a complaint Wednesday of a Honda Civic begin crammed full of extra passengers.

Woodstock Police Service received a call around 2:00 pm Wednesday regarding a complaint of a 2005 Honda Civic in the area of Dundas Street and Wellington Street  having too many passengers.

A patrol officer conducting radar in the Finkle Street and Alberta Avenue area spotted the Honda travelling at 88 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.

Police stopped the vehicle and found seven passengers including one riding in the trunk.

A 17 year old driver is charged with stunt driving.  His licence was suspended for seven days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Two of the passengers were also charged with failing to occupy a position with a seatbelt.

The driver will answer to his charges in Woodstock court.
