The CPKC Holiday Train will be stopping in Woodstock on Saturday, November 21st.
WOODSTOCK - It's a sign that the holiday season is right around the corner.
The CPKC Holiday Train has released its schedule for the 2026 season, which includes stops in 182 communities across Canada and the United States from November 19th to December 20th.
The train will be stopping in Woodstock on Saturday, November 21st. Spokesperson Terry Cunha says it will arrive at 199 Winniett Street at 6:50 p.m. that day.
"When it pulls in, a stage door will open and that's where the crowd will be able to see both Magic! and MARIS as they sing many of their original hits and Christmas songs to help bring the audience into the holiday spirit."
A cheque will be presented to the local food bank before the train leaves at 7:10 p.m. and heads to London. The show is entirely free to watch, but everyone is asked to bring a non-perishable food item donation for the food bank.
The Holiday Train is completely decorated with Christmas lights, making it very visible for miles. Cunha says they're happy to bring holiday magic to communities every year.
"We've been very fortunate during the 28 year history of the Holiday Train that we've been able to help raise over $28 million and 5.5 million pounds of food for food banks across Canada and the United States. This is extremely important, especially now as we see food insecurity across both nations. We're very happy to be able to continue to do this and support communities in need."
CPKC operates two Holiday Trains throughout the season. One travels across Canada and the other travels south to the United States. The train that stops in Woodstock is the same one that visits the United States.
