The Woodstock Wolverines will face off against members of the Woodstock Police Service in the first annual Friday Night Lights Charity Classic on October 30th.

WOODSTOCK - A flag football game is taking place in Woodstock.

It will be the 1st annual Friday Night Lights Charity Classic, and will feature the Woodstock Police Association taking on the Woodstock Wolverines. Member of the Woodstock Police, and Organizer Eric Dopf says how the idea came about.

"I reached out to Joe Brown from the Woodstock Wolverines and kind of threw the idea out to him, and he jumped on it really fast."

Dopf goes on to talk about what people can expect when they show up to the event.

"There's going to be a DJ there; there's going to be food available. We're going to have a couple auxiliary members out there with cruisers for the kids to play in. It should just be a good night of fun to get outside and hopefully it's good weather."

The game will take place next Friday at Cowan Sports Park. Kickoff for the game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

It will cost $5 to watch the game for anyone over 12 years old, and the money will help support local youth football programs.

Eric Dopf stopped by the Heart FM studio with his son Hudson on Thursday, October 22nd. You can listen to their full interview with Dan and Marcie below:
