The intersection of Finkle Street and Parkinson Road remained closed for around 2? hours Saturday afternoon because of a motor vehicle collision involving Woodstock Transit. A city bus had been travelling south bound on Finkle with a green light, while a Chevrolet, travelling east bound on Parkinson disobeyed a solid red light and was struck broad side by the City Bus. The bus was carrying 7 passengers and the Operator. No one on the bus was injured. The front seat passenger of the Chevrolet had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Woodstock Fire Department using the Jaws of Life. He sustained non life threatening injuries. The 49 year old female driver of the Chevrolet, from Tillsonburg, was charged with Red Light ? Fail to Stop under the Highway Traffic Act. Total damage to both vehicles is estimated at $ 30,000.00
