It's the 50th anniversary for the popular Community Carol Concert at the Knox Presbyterian Church this Sunday.
WOODSTOCK - The Knox Presbyterian Church is set to host the 50th anniversary of the popular Community Carol this weekend.
The concert has taken place at churches all over the Friendly City and was founded by the Woodstock Rotary Club. Admission is free and the concert is in support of Operation Sharing which is a well known institution in Woodstock. The Knox Presbyterian Church Minister, Mark McLennan has more on the history behind the event.
"When I came to Woodstock 10 years ago the Epiphany Church was organizing and hosting the event and then we got to working with them. We eventually got to the agreement to host the concert on alternating years."
McLennan also says a special guest helps perform the concert.
"It's a special concert because we've had Dr. Angus Sinclair, who's a well known organist and musician in southwestern Ontario, across Canada and actually around the world. He's toured with choirs and so on. He's been with us a number of years and he always does something special."
The concert will take place tomorrow from 7:30 p.m to 9:00 p.m.
