Mike McMahon will be stepping down as Executive Director of CMHA Oxford as of November 2nd 2018.
OXFORD COUNTY - The Canadian Mental Health Association of Oxford will have a new Executive Director at the end of the year.
Mike McMahon will be stepping down as of November 2nd 2018.
Board Chair Brian Crockett says the goodbye will be bittersweet.
"We're happy for Mike in the sense that he is moving on to an exciting new challenge but we are also sad that he is leaving us. He has been a real plus to the organization in the years that he has been with us."
McMahon has been the man in charge for about six years now. Crockett says his presence will be missed.
"He's dynamic, he's energetic, he's charismatic, he's very bright and has the ability to understand the issues in terms of mental health in our community. He's been a strong force in pushing the agenda for mental health."
In a press release, McMahon says he has enjoyed his time working with the branch staff, volunteers and clients.
"Together, we have sought to make a difference in the lives of so many individuals and it's been my privilege and honour to serve the community."
Director of Crisis and Outreach Lynn Wardell will fill in as Interim Executive Director once McMahon leaves.
