A pair of Hamilton residents facing charges in relations to a string of break-ins to families away at funerals
Two women have been arrested in connection with a series of break-and-enters that occurred while the homeowners and occupants were away at funerals.
In January and February, six different thefts were reported at area homes in Woodstock, Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge.
Waterloo Regional Police counted 11 thefts in total. Police have said they believe the thieves used public obituaries to learn when family members of the deceased would likely not be home.
Items stolen included electronics, jewellery and cash with a combined value of more than 100-thousand dollars
Charged with multiple theft and break and enter charges are 26 year old Laura Rock and 45 year old Michelle Elliot, both of Hamilton.
