Motorcycle stopped doing 178 km/h.
NORWICH TOWNSHIP -- Oxford OPP had to play catch-up Wednesday to a motorcycle carrying two people clocked doing 178 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
The stop happened after 5:00 PM yesterday just south of Otterville on Cornell Road near Zenda Line in Norwich Township
A traffic stop was conducted and OPP spoke to the male driver of the motorcycle and his passenger.
OPP charge a 48 year old Timothy Harvey of Tillsonburg with racing of a motor vehicle and not having insurance.
The vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for seven days. The driver also had his licence suspended for seven days.
