An Oxford County man is facing charges after a violent break and enter in Simcoe.
SIMCOE - No one was hurt during a violent break and enter involving an Oxford County man.
This morning Norfolk OPP were called out to a Kent Street apartment in Simcoe. When they arrived an occupant of the apartment building led police into the apartment where they had managed to restrain a man. The police quickly arrested him.
After an investigation, police determined the apartment had been broken into and a gun was pulled. The suspect then demanded contraband and things look another violent turn as the occupants of the apartment worked to restrain him. One of the people living in the apartment received a minor injury, but didn't need medical attention.
28 year old Justin Sharpe is being charged with robbery using a firearm, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, pointing a firearm, break and enter, and fail to comply with a probation order. He is currently being held in custody and will appear for a bail hearing later today.
